I recently made a ranger and wanted to get some elite tomes for him, the one boss that made me farm him around ~2 min is Chehbaba Roottripper.

Mo/N build 55hp, with Spoil Victor (but SoJ/SS works too). Just go to Aspenwood Gate (Luxon), leave to Mount Qinkai. Put up your enchantments. Cast PS when you encounter the first group of 2/3 spawns. Run along. Put up heal breeze, and shielding hands when you encounter the big group. Recast everything when you encounter Chehbaba. Cast SV. Zone out, zone in and repeat

takes about 2/3 min. Oh, and dont hit them with your weapon ;p they have vengeful weapon.

If you continue the run, there's also a Ritualist boss, Tomtom Spiriteater

That is incorrect i've gotten an elite paragon tome from softskin, and an ele one from the stormbringer guy.

*sigh* let's state it clearly and once and for all...

1. All Bosses drop Elite Tomes of their profession in HM (note BOSSES, not mobs that drop Unique, Green items....)
2. All Bosses that have Elite Skill in NM, have the Elite Skill in HM aswell
3. All Bosses that DO NOT have Elite Skill in NM, DO NOT have Elite Skill in HM (for example old ascalon, plains of jarin, low lvl areas)

not to offtop:

assassin elite tome -> admiral kaya (e/a intensity farmer, watchout as he tends to move back... advisable to bring heket patrol from nearby)

This is something I did just for the fun of it. The targets were divided 50/50 between my ele and necro.

My current estimate for the elite tome drop rate is about 3%, or less than half of the green drop rate.

can you list up which boss you killed with which build? im interested in killing for necro , warrior, assa and dervish tomes, but never found some to farm solo in hm.

Really loe, I farmed woe spreader for 80+ runs and got 5 woe spreaders and 0 tomes.

I farmed byzzr wingmender 100 times got nothing, farmed him another 20 times, got 3 scrolls and 3 tomes.

That's called randomness

It took me about 400 kills to gather the 10 tomes in the image above. That would indicate a drop chance around 2.5% but there's still a considerable margin of error. It might be as low as 1% if I was being lucky, or possibly as high as 4% if I was just having an unlucky streak.

I'm not going to farm another 100 tomes just to narrow down the error margins

but if enough people pool their unbiased results the value can be nailed down pretty well.

The sin bos outside ran musu garden, I have no idea how to spell his name, his green is a starter green, but it has a max enchanting modd so idk, I also got a bunch of gold daggers he goes down in seconds, but I haven't gotten 1 tomb from him, yet I use a A/E

ive been trying to farm woe spreader for a while now, and ive had no luck at all. sliver armor always targets a warrior. but a guildie just asked me to farm a necro tome for him, and since ive seen ppl talk about how easy woe spreader is to get, i figured id give it another shot, ne tips on how to kill him? thx in advance

You are right about the drop rate. I have managed to get approximately twice as many greens as tomes on runs. An interesting fact which I noticed yesterday (may be its a coincidence), if I do a mission before commencing my runs, my drop rate is excellent for around 15 runs i.e. greens drop within the first three runs and tomes too. Then it tapers off until I go back and do some more missions. This corresponds with farming code which is supposed to have been removed? anyone have any idea on this?
